Pupillary distance (PD) is the distance, in millimeters, from one pupil to the other.

A correct PD will ensure that the lenses are correctly positioned in relation to your eye.

The result is a more comfortable pair of glasses with less visual distortion and thus less fatigue.

The optician is not legally required to record your Pupillary Distance. We advise you always ask for this measurement when having an eye test..

Most internet companies will use an average PD measurement (about 63mm) but our customers are not all average and we would rather have a more accurate fitting.

To ensure a proper fitting pair of glasses we will always measure your PD for you.

Choose the frame you like and take a photo of yourself wearing it. (see best practice guide in information panel)

we have 3 options for getting the photo to us:

1. If you can take a digital photo, upload it to your account
2. If you cannot upload a digital photo attach it to our order confirmation e-mail and send it to us
3. have a normal postcard sized photo processed and send it back with the frames. (see information panel for guidance)
   
   

 

Best practice for taking photos for multi-focals fitting. 1. Taking your photograph. make sure the frames are seated comfortably and naturally on your face try to fill the frame look straight at camera the camera lens needs to be same height as your eyes make sure that lighting is good save photo to desktop or in a location you usually use for photos 2. Uploading photos to your account. click on "your account" above this panel select "update profile" on the options page. browse for photo, select and upload leave the rest to us for better fit glasses.

1. Every order is checked by our experienced dispensers before we start manufacture
   
   
2. If we find that the frame chosen is not perfectly suitable for your prescription and the lenses you have chosen, we will contact you to discuss alternatives.

3. Your lenses are checked against your prescription.
   
   
4. Lenses are checked for fit in the frame, to ensure they are not too tight or too loose for the frame to ensure they do not crack or fall out.
   
   
5. All frame screws are checked for fit and holding power .
   
   
6. All frames are set up and balanced to ensure the best possible fit and comfort.
   
   
7. Our Quality Control Department will finally check that your glasses are to the highest possible standard before despatch.
